One reason KinderMourn has stayed strong for over 25 years and continues to grow is because of the generous support it receives from individuals, corporations and foundations. Our supporters give in so many ways…through volunteering their time and financial support. All of these gifts, regardless of the size, make a lasting impact for grieving families in our community.
There are many ways to support the KinderMourn program and any gift, no matter how large or small, is an important one.
Volunteer Opportunities
One of KinderMourn’s greatest assets is the dedication and time given by our wonderful group of volunteers. The organization offers a wide variety of opportunities for individuals to give of their time and talents. Whether you are looking for a one-time project or ongoing involvement, your time can make a difference in the life of a grieving parent or child.
Healing Hearts Society
Established in 2001, The Healing Hearts Society is comprised of individuals who contribute $500 or more per year, which may be paid in one installment or over the course of the year.
KinderMourn Friends
Throughout the year, individuals are given the opportunity to make a gift to the Annual Fund, which support KinderMourn’s greatest priority…to provide counseling services for grieving children and parents.
Honor and Memorial Gifts
All gifts may be made in honor or memory of someone special. Honor and memorial gifts offer a wonderful way to recognize a birthday, anniversary or other notable occasion. KinderMourn is happy to send an acknowledgement of your gift to designated individuals or their families.
Pathway of Grace
For a minimum gift of $100, you can buy a brick in the Pathway of Grace for yourself or in honor or memory of a loved one. Each brick is a visible part of the entrance pathway leading to the KinderMourn home. Proceeds from the sale of the bricks help fund the programs provided for grieving families in our area.
Library Fund
Through donations of cash and in-kind gifts, KinderMourn’s library continues to grow. The Grief Resource Library is a wonderful resource for grieving parents, children and their friends. Books can be given in memory or honor of a loved one.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts may take many forms including bequests, trusts and gift annuities. The Development staff is happy to provide additional information for carefully planning any of these gifts. KinderMourn appreciates knowing of donors who have indicated their intent to make a planned gift of any kind to benefit KinderMourn in the future or through their estate.
Types of Gifts
Gifts to KinderMourn may come in the form of cash or other assets, including stock, real estate, life insurance policies, or charitable trusts. In addition, cash gifts may be paid with Visa/Mastercard.
